May 11, 2012 - Libya was neutral towards the West by the beginning of the Arab spring, Gaddafi removed all of his WMD's after the invasion of Iraq and The U.N. had removed all sanctions against Libya. There's even a picture of Obama shaking hands and smiling with Gaddafi back in 2009 for fuck's sake! The last time Gaddafi was a real threat to the U.S. was back in the 80s during the Reagan administration. Not to mention, Libya was the most developed state in Africa up until the uprising.
