Street Spirit (Fade Out) - 44:40The Bends is the second studio album by English alternative rock band Radiohead, released on 13 March 1995. The Bends was produced by John Leckie at EMI's studios in London, and engineered by Nigel Godrich, who would go on to produce all future albums by the band. Featuring five charting singles, the album also marked the beginning of a shift in aesthetics and themes for the band, with greater use of keyboards, and more abrasive guitar tracks balancing subtler ones. The introspective grunge-influenced style of Pablo Honey evolved toward more multilayered rock with cryptic lyrics and larger ideas, as the band and singer Thom Yorke reacted against the rigours of near-constant world tours. "Street Spirit (Fade Out)", the final single and last song on the album, became their first top five UK hit.The album was subject to greater critical acclaim than their debut Pablo Honey (1993), receiving an enthusiastic critical reaction, and it reached number four in the UK Albums Chart. However, it failed to build on the commercial success of their single "Creep" outside the United Kingdom, and it peaked on the American charts at number 88. Although it lacked the instant success of later Radiohead albums, The Bends achieved triple platinum sales certifications in the UK and Canada and platinum sales in the US and the EU. In the years since its release, the album has frequently appeared in listener polls and critics' lists of best contemporary rock albums.

May 27, 2012 - Man there is nothing wrong with having an opinion I'm just saying music is subjective, Just because someone doesn't like what someone else thinks is the best album ever doesn't mean it's NOT...at least to them, who is anyone to tell someone else their taste is music is better? As I say if you like something good for you, tell the fucking world you LOVE it that's cool, that's an opinion no problem, but do people really need to call other names because THEY don't like it? Music is music, love it
Johnnywhamo Says:
May 27, 2012 - I try, lol!

AdamKuc90 Says:
May 27, 2012 - Hmm, for me ,,Kid A" is after ,,Ok C." ,,Bends" is...too catchy for me. If i want a catchy music i play Dire Straits or Guns ;) From Radiohead i require primary inaccessibility like ,,OK C" showed me for the first time. I didn't know my name after hearing this album. After ,,Bends" it was like...,,nice songs for jogging". That's not good for me ;)But..cheers to fans of good music. And indeed, Radiohead does one.
Hyeigh Says:
May 27, 2012 - Ummm, yes, definitely yes. Everyone who loves Bowie and Radiohead are tards that rephrase words like "opinion" so they inject some deeper philosophical meaning when it's the same shit that's been said for years. Can't believe you haven't realized this already.
Johnnywhamo Says:
May 27, 2012 - Ya I'm sure there's been times I've rolled my eyes and thought some of these guys guys shouldn't take themselves so seriously for sure!. I mean after all they're just musicians. Having said that I also think we shouldn't take what they have to say too seriously either for the same reason. I try to take what most musicians have to say with grain of salt you know what I mean? lol
Johnnywhamo Says:
May 27, 2012 - I don't see using a word like "opinion" as meaning anything more than the word means.Seriously man I"m by no means trying to be some sort of philosophical pretentious twat I'm simply saying music is music and we don't have to call each other nasty names just because our tastes are different. Different music moves people differently and there really isn't an absolute right or wrong with people's taste. I'm not trying to be "deep" at all, I'm just saying we don't have to be dicks about it. Peace!

May 27, 2012 - it would be cool if one of the bands choosed to play before the radiohead at a concert dressed like them and played all the singles they wont play like hig and dry creep etc so tom yorke will get so furious he will surely flop the plexibithion and all the people going mad for songs he hates ahahahahahahaha
Johnnywhamo Says:
May 27, 2012 - LMFAO!!! that would be EPIC!! his head would blow off!! Imagine if it was the opening band, RH are sitting in their dressing room and about halfway thru the 1st tune they'd be like..WTF...they're playing CREEP..LOL!!
