May 14, 2011 - @gazzomuso1235 He's holding a 6 string bass, rather than a 4 string. That's probably what's confusing you.
CourtyardPigeon Says:
May 17, 2011 - @radkidmoe she made more income this month than you will in your lifetime
thegrayareas Says:
May 17, 2011 - @radkidmoe She's the percussionist. Attempt to imagine this tune without the extra percussion instruments--let alone the harmony on the backing vocals. Jeeez, this is exactly the reason schools need music education, not to mention some instruction about gender and diversity! P.S. Go chat with your mom about her role in your world. Peace, out.

May 17, 2011 - @thegrayareas my mom's office is in the kitchen....just saying

May 17, 2011 - when was this?
cornoman Says:
May 24, 2011 - @h3sniperman Actually, count the pegs carefully--it's a 5-string. They've been common in rock/pop since the early 90's. One of the first players was the bassist from the fusion jazz group The Yellowjackets (amazing player!). 6-string basses are around, but they're unwieldy with thick bass strings, so not too many players use them.
h3sniperman Says:
May 25, 2011 - @cornoman 5 or 6, yes. The point is that there is a bass :L.
GUIPenguin Says:
Jun 11, 2011 - Ugh! terrible fingerpicking :/
GUIPenguin Says:
Jun 13, 2011 - @HStokk Um, no? Listen to some of their other live recordings, or the original. It's not the same. The picking is much different in this video. My band and I have been covering this song for years
keelingjj1 Says:
Jun 16, 2011 - Is that a recorder?
NaYarB04 Says:
Jun 28, 2011 - @GUIPenguin dude have you seen him doing the bass line while playing the intro, then strumming his original pattern while singing his ass off?
Salivable Says:
Jul 8, 2011 - @GUIPenguin its a live version, its supposed to be different. It shows that they can improvise and also he probably gets tired of playing the exact same thing every time.
amieshawn1 Says:
