Apr 14, 2012 - Today I laid my friend to rest. This song was requested by him to be played during his services. He died CLEAN and a Christian. He touched many lives and will be missed deeply. Vaya con Dios Jonathan C. Hart 1970-2012

Apr 22, 2012 - I'm a secular humanist and I agree with you. I couldn't give a crap about the meaning behind the lyrics, I just like the music. In fact, there are a bunch of Jars of Clay songs I like, even if I find the overt religiousness a little offputting and unnecessary. And it's a shame, they could have been really huge if they tried to appeal to a broader audience.

Apr 22, 2012 - I'm not very religious- yet I love this song a lot.

Apr 24, 2012 - Christians are fucking suckers, at least when it comes to being consumers. You all place precedence on the message to the point where the product doesn't even matter. Thousands of mediocre musicians make tons of money writing and performing a bunch of shitty songs that nobody would ever give a shit about had they not said the word "Jesus" 8493028392043289 times.
wwwuraRetard Says:
Apr 25, 2012 - Sounds like you want Christian musicians to remove the biblical meanings out the songs entirely that would make them worldly not set apart from the world or born again.Christians trusting in atheists to "marginalize God", his word, and their music will be the reason for the "The great falling away" in the future.Everyone will be receiving their own death wish.

Apr 29, 2012 - Jars of Clay appeals to a broader audience, just not the one you have in mind. I am sure the broader audience of the poor in Africa are very grateful for their work. I commend Jars of Clay for their ideas and work and for appealing to a different type of audience that is not limited to just itune purchases.

grlybrainiac Says:
May 2, 2012 - I USED to be religious until a few years ago, and I still love to listen to some of their songs! They were my absolute favorite artist growing up! I do wish that they would make some more songs that didn't have a religious theme...but what can you do...I've tried finding secular artists with similar sounds, but it's very difficult...it's hard to replace them :)

May 20, 2012 - They chose not to appeal to a broader audience because they don't do what they do for the money, but to further the kingdom of god and worship him, our purpose on this earth.

May 23, 2012 - i agree with comments just not your prejudice jars of clay could have been like u2 and reached a larger crowd
MewingFugur Says:
May 23, 2012 - I disagree. Most modern day Christian songs that teens and young adults listen to don't mention him at all or at least very little. Yes there are some artist that prefer making those types of songs but alot of the songs have a meaning and don't just spout random "Jesus" that makes the song popular. If it has a religious meaning and doesn't seem toooo religious then it appeals to a larger audience like this song.

May 25, 2012 - PEOPLE GET READY for the Rapture! We are all sinners in need of a Savior."Then there shall be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left. Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."--Jesus speaking(Matthew Chapter 24, verses 40-42)Please look at this INSPIRATIONAL song about the Creator of the Universe.Just Enter: MARK BEHRENS (in the search field)--THANKS.

May 26, 2012 - Who says Jesus is the savior? Or Alla, could the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Thai people, Cambodian Vietnamese or Indian people be wrong, they are the majority of the world, and the don't beleive in Alla or Jesus.

MonkeyBone316v1 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - We send ourselves to hell because of us not turning from our evil ways and accepting Jesus Christ and believeing in him. Back in the old testament days you had to sacrifice an animal to God for him to wash your sins away but, it wasnt permanent for, after you sinned, you had to repeat. God, through Jesus Christ and us not being perfect, can be cleansed forever through his blood of his sons sacrifice. We make mistakes, we screw up but, we are forever cleaned in Jesus's actions.
