Jul 27, 2011 - I understand what your trying to get at, that, compared to formal English, slang does sound a bit bad. But languages evolve over time, and English is no different. You also have to take in the different accents and regional words. Around here in Iowa, we say pop, but other places use soda, coke, or soda pop. There's really no way you can say a word is slang or not, simply based on a dictionary.
