prototype615h Says:

Jan 14, 2012 - could you cite sources on that?

prototype615h Says:

prototype615h Says:

Jan 14, 2012 - if you could prove that, I am wrong. Unless you could prove me wrong, I will still maintain my stand on the topic

Jan 15, 2012 - Repost from a friend: "Kulay pink pa rin pintura ng bahay namin oh."He's not one of those lazy people that Mike Enriquez was talking about. After graduating from college, he struggles to work hard to uplift his family from poverty. However, working and working and working in this goddamn country's standard salary's not enough to buy one a decent home. He's now an ofw.

Bale palpal sila in bothways. PERO IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES ika nga! :D

Jan 17, 2012 - @prototype615h Then President Marcos awarded the land to the local government of San Juan, who was then headed by Joseph Estrada, his loyal friend. When Martial Law was brought down, President Corazon Aquino awarded the land to the tenants via PP164 and removed Erap from office. Ramos and Erap both awarded the land to the local government again. But GMA also awarded the land to the people of Corazon de Jesus via EO54. You may look these proclamations on the internet to get the full text.

Jan 17, 2012 - There was a legal battle. The last was where the CA ruled in favor of the local government due to mere technicalities. The GMA admin did not answer to the case/did not pursue the awarding of the land. After all,all these exercise has been for political bickering. They were more bent on warding off their political enemies than awarding the land to the people. It has been like a 40-yr pendulum for the people. In all, this is not just about awarding of land, but the issue of social justice

artsmusiccultureph Says:

Jan 18, 2012 - untrue. it was the police who provoked the residents, coming armed and in full battle gear, with a water cannon and a bulldozer. if you have read the captions, this video happened after another video. clear in these two videos that the residents are unarmed, and they were just standing their ground, til they fought back.there was also no negotiations.the police also fired teargas.they just came there to tear down houses.you should try to put yourself in their shoes

changetheworldph Says:

Jan 19, 2012 - The local government was not open to negotiate anymore. The local government's position is to demolish the homes. The residents offered three alternatives, maintain houses, reblocking or in city relocation. The local government is only open to their option. I guess, this is why it led to this. Anybody you would tell you will destroy their home will feel this angry, inside or vent it outward.
