Mar 8, 2012 - An auto-return yo-yo is meant to return - if you throw it hard it will stay down longer, but you may be ready to graduate to a yo yo that is NOT auto return such as the Xodus II or a Fireball.

Mar 8, 2012 - Is your string double looped?  You should open up the string, slide it between the 2 halves and you are all set. Don't twist the string again. Also - throw hard.

Mar 8, 2012 - Too much lube saturates the string and affects performance. You should not need to lube the Xodus II, but if you do, make sure you don't put much on it - use a paper towel to keep the excess off the parts of the yo yo that the string touches. Try a fresh string and then throw hard.
