Jan 26, 2012 - You may want to re-read what you just posted. Drifting a RWD under power is OVERsteer, not UNDERsteer. But in any case a RWD does not always oversteer. Plough understeer can happen to anyone entering a corner too fast. In fact the BMW 330i, which is a great car, tends to understeer into corners and oversteer out. A well setup FWD with good front end grip can oversteer (see vid), but many do not. Most cars (FWD and RWD) are setup to understeer a little for safety.

Jan 26, 2012 - I'm a fan of "show me". Unfortunately, the Magane, in any trim, is not available in the US, like the Focus RS (easy hit for FORD and yet...). Because of the market perception of RWD as strictly a performance and/or luxury drive layout, even in the US, there hasn't been a new RWD car that would to compete with many hot FF compacts, for the same money, for at least a decade. But a hot RWD car can ace a hot FF, unfortunately you have to pay more for one these days.

Its more than 20 seconds a lap faster than 350Z around Nurburgring, so unless new 370Z is much much faster than 350Z (which it isnt), its faster. Megane RS is a killer car, very underrated by many, while in fact on Nurburgring its faster than BMW 1M, as fast as BMW M3 E92, faster than any other hatchback,by far, even 4WD hatchbacks with more power such as Audi S3 or Golf R32. In fact, next hatchback is Focus RS500, and its 15 sec slower.

Not Nissan, nor any magazine. Any laptime reported to be of the 370Z was done from bridge to gantry, which is not a full loop of the ring.Where do you people get your info from?
