May 10, 2011 - I think the Vado HD is a brilliant device at what it's capable of and the fact it has a wide angle lense just adds to its perks and to me it makes up for the bad audio. Besides, if you're using it for a professional blog, then you would record your audio on a seperate audio recording device, as for a pocket camera, the audio is good enough for what it can do, out of the three the vado is definately my choice.

But I'm also of two minds about the Kodak zm1 - IF the sound is as good as the zi6. Yeah, you were right, Vado had smoother quality. On the Kodak, when you waved hands around, they blurred. Much less so on the Vado. However, in the Vado, the light/colour keeps fluctuating through the video. BTW, you didn't look like an "Oompa Loompa" - you looked quite good

May 24, 2011 - Im here in the USA. I ordered my refurb Vado HD at Amazon. Im not sure if they sell internationally but hopefully they do. Its not bad for that low a price. Its not as good as more expensive units but its not bad at all.

May 24, 2011 - - the one I ordered I "think" is a 1st generation model, still not a bad deal. The vender (Amazon subseller) did not specify if it was 1st or 2nd gen. I think you will like it for general use. Just get a cheap tripod and use for a steady cam set up for smoother pictures as you walk, for trips to the zoo or parks, etc. Search YouTube for "how to make a steady cam - you will find a few that shows how to use a tripod for a steady cam. :-)

Nov 13, 2011 - @bloodonbloodtributo, If you are a musician... I believe that the Vado HD 3rd gen is the only one of the three reviewed here that has a microphone jack. If you want to record decent sound on any camcorder... an external source is almost always neccesary. Comparing the results from internal mics is nothing more than comparing different levels of mediocrity.

Dec 23, 2011 - I liked the kodak zi8 until i found out it only record mpeg4's and im on a PC so that is of no use to me. The next thing would be the flip which I think has good quality videos but is not feature rich. So at this point I think I would choose the creative Vado.
