Dec 25, 2010 - the taped hole really does give it a different sound. I'm not sure how to describe it, but i've done it and it changes it up. But i'm pretty sure it's because he's plugged into the PA. I wouldn't be throwing heavy duty tape like that onto a gibson for no reason
