Oct 30, 2008 - I have watched many of the videos and I have to say being a chemistry major I understand the reactions and how nasty the compounds are like concentrated nitric acid. Nitric acid is an oxidizing acid so it well corrode just about anything more so than HCl. NaOH is also nasty if a solution is made to concentrated it will corrode glass. Props for practicing safety like using a vent hood and wearing gloves.

This guy is a real chemist, in a real lab, with excellent safety equipment. As you can hear, all of these experiments are being performed in a fume hood. He's also using proper nonreactive apparatus, and off frame, likely has the requisite goggles and apron.

I think that the guy who hates your videos argues with circular reasoning (he closed his channel on YouTube).
