Mar 26, 2012 - Just got my Lifeproof cover this weekend. It really aces all the water tests. Tried an impact inside the house too. No damages or scratches to the case or the phone. Only thing to keep in mind is as they say on the website, this case is not made for frequent opening & closing. It has a limited shell life of around 50 take-on & offs. Still the camera & speakers work great so i have a great time using it, especially showers.

Apr 1, 2012 - The LIfeproof case works as advertised. EXCEPT you can't use your iphone very well because of the echo. Do a search for "Lifeproof echo" and you can read the honest comment and complaints about the product. Many people either love it or hate it. I returned mine after a few weeks of use.

Apr 3, 2012 - I picked this case up and out of the box the case looked and felt cheap for the 80 bucks. I do have a bit of an issue with the sound quality. I did not have any issues with the screen as other have stated. Only thing id like to see an improvement is a coating on the hard plastic to make it look a feel like the 80 bucks people are spending on or even other color options, other then that great case

Lifeproof protects your phones from cosmetic damage, but it doesn't prevent internal damage when dropped. Imagine you had a mechanical pencil with lead inside, if you drop the pencil, the lead can still break because of the impact.
