May 13, 2012 - I think radiohead's music is beautiful too, but Thom's writing is about life. Sex and partying are part of it. He mentions drinking in this interview, and sex is a really beautiful part of life. I don't think you should discount a song because it's about a particularly shallow part of life. That's not what makes the world's pop music crap, it's because it's made for money.

But you know what I mean about every single song that says something about "put your hands in the air", and it makes those life experiences less human. The pop artists are turning America into a bunch of apes that go around fist pumping.Thom and Radiohead, in all their weirdness, seem to bring a much more thorough, human experience to the world.
