May 12, 2012 - there are no weird people, only closed minded people.
deathdealer3000 Says:
May 12, 2012 - amen to that, I'm so tired of all that "put your hands up in the air", "it's a party tonight!" and godamn braindead meloDies that seem to be standard now 2012. I didn't want to become this old grumpy guy, but I can't relate to the soulless stuff that's airing now.
dropmdma Says:
May 13, 2012 - I doubt you'll find someone who makes music as good as Thom who isn't fucking weird and makes much sense when they talk..
ZACKnirvana Says:
May 13, 2012 - after he released ok computer he found himself nude on videotape with weird fishes...he hit rock bottom. it's as if he had myxomatosis or something...
TheJohnBuffalo Says:
May 13, 2012 - I think radiohead's music is beautiful too, but Thom's writing is about life. Sex and partying are part of it. He mentions drinking in this interview, and sex is a really beautiful part of life. I don't think you should discount a song because it's about a particularly shallow part of life. That's not what makes the world's pop music crap, it's because it's made for money.
DMoneys36 Says:
May 13, 2012 - You're entirely correct. Especially about the money part. But you know what I mean about every single song that says something about "put your hands in the air", and it makes those life experiences less human. The pop artists are turning America into a bunch of apes that go around fist pumping.Thom and Radiohead, in all their weirdness, seem to bring a much more thorough, human experience to the world. And that's what I believe a lot of peoplle are missing in their lives.
TheJohnBuffalo Says:
May 14, 2012 - Ah, I see. We're on the same page then. Right on.
johnnynormous Says:
May 15, 2012 - Lord a 2 year writing block...thats 2 years of extraordinary music the world will never come to realize..glad that phase passed
Suedeheadlover Says:
May 15, 2012 - A comment about Thom's vocal toward the end of "The National Anthem": Sounds a little bit like Primal Scream's "Kowalski" - from "Vanishing Point". I may need multiple listens just to make sure.
Earl Sweatshirt Says:
May 18, 2012 - Kid A is a masterpiece. And Thom is a fucking legend.
Vbgrel Says:
May 18, 2012 - since when is Rivers Cuomo in the band? oh wait, it's Colin. haha
pardonMEgoodSIR Says:
May 19, 2012 - I couldn't agree more. God, I hate current pop music. It's either too pretentious or totally crass commercialism.Radiohead to me, are one of the very few artists who are creative and bold enough to try different musical approaches and it always sounds good. They have that "I don't give a fuck" attitude that I truly admire.

Somestupidloser Says:
May 21, 2012 - I'm particularly attached to the title track of Kid A. That said, it's kind of disheartening that this interview barely even touches up on it at all.

covertsniperr96 Says:
May 23, 2012 - agreed. As an american, i can say we have dreadful taste when it comes to entertainment, especially music
BusterstheBoy1 Says:
May 24, 2012 - The music industry can be very damaging for artists who are sensitive types. It's all about money and reduces these people to products, just like any other industry. OK for insensitive clods but people like Thom Yorke will suffer. Kurt Cobain too.
KashiwaDaisuke Says:
May 24, 2012 - The guy makes good music, but god damn, is he ever a troubled and pretentious man.
