May 15, 2012 - And if your fav band is so much more talented than DT, then where's their music. It's not about talent, it's about artistic creativity. This band has loads of it, which most all bands lack today...they are still current, and Metallica can't hang.

May 20, 2012 - Actually, I agree with EpicMetalTime. It isn't AS prevalent in earlier Dream Theater, but the last four albums, barring A Dramatic Turn of Events, there were lots of times when I would get fucking BORED. Ministry of Lost Souls, and really Systematic Chaos in general, was like that for me. A six minute solo section just isn't always necessary in EVERY song. That's what I like about Images and Words though. Surround and Another Day give you a break from all the shredding.

May 20, 2012 - Repetitiveness is not the same as complexity. In a sense, a long solo isn't repetitive musically, but the tone will pretty much stay the same, and it will become emotionless (or as you say, you would get fucking bored). So, I do agree with your statement, but it's not exactly what I am referring to.

May 24, 2012 - jesus, are people not allowed to post anything more remotely interesting than concerning the worship of this band???If you're gonna take offence over the fact that some people think this stuff is OK then your narrow brain is the fuckin problem. I sometimes can't be arsed with Dream Theater but sometimes I really can. This is who I am... and I accept you for always loving this band and I would accept you even if you changed your mind one day. Stop being a pussy and enjoy the music!
TurriPi Says:
