May 16, 2012 - This doesn't sound like Bittersweet Symphony. But the Oldham version, which was lifted off this, does. In fact the Verve based their entire song on the Oldham version of this song. Thus, Jagger and Richards are credited writers because without their classic work, no Oldham version and no Verve version. It is called Copyright Law. It's something that is lost on the Youtube generation.

May 16, 2012 - Both songs "Bittersweet Symphony" and "The Last Time" are great classic songs. Who cares if the Verve lifted it from Oldham's version. This version of the "Last Time" is awesome. Brian sounds great on this! He came up with that signature riff but never got the credit because Mick and Keith wanted to be like Lennon and McCartney.
