Jan 28, 2012 - You're right. That analogy is so stupid it just goes over so many people's heads... like yours.

MahoCanada2 Says:

Jan 28, 2012 - He's comparing insects and fish to human beings. It's no wonder you're one to see this as agreeable. Bitch. Fish.

mario0318 Says:

Jan 28, 2012 - He's comparing the similarities in interaction and how self-driven individual actions can lead to movements of the masses as facilitated by social networking, as has been the case in the Arab Spring and just recently the SOPA blackout. This is well explained in the full video which I assume you haven't even watched. How you could miss such a simple analogy is beyond me.

MahoCanada2 Says:

Jan 28, 2012 - So you're a fish. It's not the end of the world. Stop getting all mad about that.

BigMTBrain Says:

Jan 28, 2012 - In the full video on the Fora site, that they never mentioned either of the two major IBM projects, Watson or Blue Brain = Fail. In the seg discussing puzzlement over how context will enter search, the tech and algorithms behind Watson (watch?v=DywO4zksfXw) are one present solution. In 20 years or less, something like it will be thousands of times better and faster, and able to subscribe to as a cloud service. The clients that feed its algorithms will be settable to track your entire info flow.

BranVan10k Says:

Jan 28, 2012 - no, you idiot. without copyright there would be no incentive for people to even attempt to bring new products to the market. without property laws (in this case intellectual property) the market breaks down.

Feb 1, 2012 - You know money truly doesn't matter? The only problem with no money is people will take more than their share. In this day and age, if we took away money all of a sudden. People would take much more than they need and hoard everything. 'Greed, Pride, and Wrath'.. Look up these words and you'll find that it deals 100% with this world.

shawoody Says:

Feb 3, 2012 - Hey, how come the two brown guys who probably have multiple PhD's in physics and engineering and graduated Cum Laude, didn't get to speak? Oh sorry. Dumb question.

Mar 1, 2012 - @christopherlacroix"I think they want like a Borg thing."Oh no, i hope that's never going to happen, because it wouldn't work.Think of all the religions ideologies & opinions on everything else would completely fry the system, all the bickering at "thought-speed" would use up all the bandwidth. It would never be all harmony in the collective like on Star Trek, look at the internet -> the easier the communication the more controversies & debates arise.

CamNM1991 Says:

Apr 30, 2012 - The government, patents and copyrights get in the way. This system needs some tweaking too it.
