Initially, his parents were devastated. Vujicic was otherwise healthy.Growing upHis life was filled with difficulties and hardships. One was not being able to attend a mainstream school because of his physical disability, as the law of Australia required, even though he was not mentally impaired. During his schooling, the laws were changed, and Nick was one of the first disabled students to be migrated to a mainstream school. He learned to write using the two toes on his left "foot," and a special device that slid onto his big toe to grip. He also learned to use a computer and type using the "heel and toe" method (as demonstrated in his speeches). He can also throw tennis balls and answer the phone (also demonstrated in speeches).EpiphanyBeing bullied at his school, Nick grew extremely depressed, and by the age of eight, started contemplating suicide. After begging God to grow arms and legs, Nick eventually began to realize that his accomplishments were inspirational to many, and began to thank God he was alive. A key turning point was a newspaper article about a man dealing with severe disability that his mother showed him when he was 12, that led him to realise he wasn't the only one with major struggles. When he was seventeen, he started to give talks at his prayer group[5], and eventually started his non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs.

Apr 11, 2012 - Yeah , I actually saw Nick on an interview on TBN a few months ago. Very inspiring. It does wake you up because you can trully see the holy spirit working in him. The bible says when we think we are something then we are nothing, something like that... Apr 11, 2012 - I love Nick but I am concerned about the language of someone who professes to be a Christian.....a little red flag popped up. There are false christs, false teachers, and false brethren. Some deceived, others deceiving.....good fish/bad fish, wheat/tares, sheep/goats....be discerning....it is possible the church is in apostasy if it is going to be all over soon. Blessings

Apr 11, 2012 - That's okay..other Christians have rebuked me in love when I got mean with the Atheists and God haters and I am thankful. They are just deceived 2 Cor 4:4 like I once was.These verses always help me and I find I have to go to them often when I am dialoging with Atheists since I can be quite curt and sarcastic. It is good we can help each other, especially in this time of false teaching and apostasy. Check out 2 Tim 2:24-26 and temper it with Titus 1:13. Have a great day my friend.
