Dec 12, 2011 - the irony and great thing about this game was that it was vs the sonics, who at the time had ray allen. allen was and is considered one of the best three point shooters of all time and he was drafted the same year as kobe, thus becoming one of his rivals. i'm sure he didn't know he was going to break the record until later in the game but this is for certain, he wanted to show ray allen, he got 3pt skills as well.
