Zep's version of You Shook Me blows the original Muddy Waters version out of the water and Joe Cocker's cover of A Little Help From My Friends destroys the Beatles original. Though in this instance, the definitive version is LZ's, but the Tool version is great.

The original is still the original and a cover can not be better because it is a cover. Without the original covers wouldn't exist. I'm not arguing or anything. I'm just saying that you can't really call it "better" because the original is the way the song is supposed to be in the first place. It is all art.
