In addition as far as heartbreaking when she told him she didn't want to die i found that far more saddening than the manga ending.

Mar 31, 2012 - Of course the manga storylines are better since the animes derive from them. Its unfortunate that most animes don't actually follow the storyline and leave out details(for some unknown reason) but IMO they could have done a better job with chrno crusade. I felt it was rushed. Ah well, any anime adaptation for a well loved manga is a boon to the fans!
