Title: Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)
Added: May 10, 2010
Author: MN12BIRD
Duration: 10:41
Description:
Gran Turismo is made for Sony by their own internal developers Polyphony Digital. The series becomes one of the first mainstream racing sims on the home consoles. GT4 is released in Japan in 2004 and in NA for early 2005. It's one of the best racing games on the PS2 and IMHO one of the best racing games EVER! Graphically it pushes the PS2 to its near limits and even supports 16:9 and HD resolutions with the proper component cables.

Apr 30, 2012 - Damn even this old title had physics Forza Motorsport cant handle in 2012, damn. If only PD could do GT4 in HD. Tho I got the original and the PS2 still so what would stop me playing the good old GT4, havent got my brains ruined with all the shiny HD, yet.
MN12BIRD Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - umm.... no it's not the game is made by Sonys own division and ALL Gran Turismo games have ALWAYS been on Sony systems only.
nigahigaawesomenes Says:
May 5, 2012 - Do all GT4 Versions have the HD thingy? cuz I'm not sure if I have the American, European or Japanese version, but I don't have the HD bit.
MN12BIRD Says:
May 5, 2012 - Hrm maybe the PAL: European version didn't but I dont really know.
angelixsaint Says:
May 8, 2012 - is it me, or did GT4 look almost exactly like GT5 does? I feel like it looks better, since it's on a playstation 2 which isn't supposed to even compare to PS3.

May 9, 2012 - PANAMA! GT4 <3
kanoro16 Says:
May 10, 2012 - Uhh there is actually a gran turismo on the gameboy advance and another one on the Xbox original
MN12BIRD Says:
May 10, 2012 - No, there isn't. There may be GT games. GT stands for Grand Touring. These games are made by other companies. GT or Gran Touring are generic racing terms. These are NOT "Gran Turismo" games. Gran Turismo is made by Polyphony Digital and they are owned by Sony.

kanoro16 Says:
May 16, 2012 - It's crazy. Some games pushed systems graphics to the limits. It shows that the last generation consoles were pretty much as graphically capable as the current generation. Their only real limiting factor was memory. You could only cram so many highly detailed models and graphics onto a 4GB DVD. Now Blueray and HD DVDs have made it possible to make everythign as detailed as possible without worrying about exceeding the available space on the disk.

May 19, 2012 - There is more in life than a Lamborghini
MN12BIRD Says:
May 19, 2012 - EA owned exclusive rights to Lambo at the time and yet this was a much better racer than anything they had.
MN12BIRD Says:
May 19, 2012 - You need the Component cable. You can still find them since the PS3 uses the same ones.

Apr 1, 2012 - that's because perhaps you need more practice, at first I used to say that as well but then I got used to it
