There were crucial differences between the two, dork, like in KOTH it was sufficient to enter a ring to break it, whereas in annex it wouldn't work if there were enemies in it. In KOTH you had to be inside a ring to score points - not the case in Annex.GOW3 KOTH is just annex plus that rings drain with time. So get your facts straight.
