May 13, 2012 - Well, your statement is correct to a point. The MPAA's rating system wasn't developed until 1968, after My Fair Lady and the Sound of Music were released. They received G ratings when they were later re-released to theaters and home movies.So, technically, Oliver! is the only Best Picture winner that has been rated G since its initial release.
