My brother getting crashed into by a sand rail at Gordons Well, CA imperial sand dunes at the Day Hill. The wreck caused a broken ankle and fractured wrist. Could have been a lot worse.

May 8, 2012 - someone was at fault, dunno how but the way the dunes work is that its all one-way, hard to tell from this clip.

May 9, 2012 - the rail driver was 100% at fault. i dont know what the rules are at Gordon's Well but at a lot of places you need to have a tall whip with a flag at the top so people coming up the opposite side of the dune can see you. his rail had no flag. you also dont jump a dune without someone on the top "spotting" for you. they look over the top of the dune for you and wave you off if there is someone coming up the other side.
