Os Animals alcançaram sucesso com seus compactos "Baby Let Me Follow You Down" e "The House of the Rising Sun". A banda continuou, agora sob a égide de "Eric Burdon and the Animals", mudando seu estilo musical.

May 11, 2012 - this performance is so awesome, i just wish it wasn't an abridged version of the song. The greatest are always at their top in live performances, it's a shame do the full version. Still, really awesome performance!!!

May 12, 2012 - Saw Eric Burdon perform in Honolulu in the early 90s and he absolutely refused to sing this song. He made it clear to the audience that he was sick and tired of House of the Rising Sun. It was really too bad. I hope he's overcome his aversion to one of his most classic songs.

May 12, 2012 - Back then, part of Burdon's appeal is that he was serious, real. Had attitude, street fightin look. Girls loved it. I was one. We heard him before he was televised, the tune and voice is what started it all. At the time, they seemed even edgier than the Stones, edgier than the Beatles as they were. Lived in L.A. back then. Was exposed to much of the rising music of the times and never take it for granted. Merci.

May 18, 2012 - This song was out, I was still in the BoyScouts...on the verge of quitting to play football in school. It was nineteen sixty four and I had a buddy whose mother was Japanese. His father married her after the war. This song always reminds me of Charlie and his family.
