Apr 7, 2012 - Indeed the UK has all of it's scientific/engineering centred on the metric system and has for some years now, we dont even teach the imperial system in schools anymore. The only reason we still use miles, MPH, feet and inches is for "non crucial" measurements, like the separation between plants in a garden, and familiarity for the majority of the adult generation...
