Ralph Murdoch's 1970 Camaro drifted out of the normal line and nearly went off the road. His back tire was in the loose stuff when he gunned it spraying me with dust and gravel. The only casualty was a chipped camera lens and mouthful of dirt, but no one was hurt and Murdoch went on to win the vintage class with a time of 12:51.004. Jun 27, 2011 - It is not smart to stand on the outside of the corner for that reason. I know from experience, as I got chased down the hill by a car at engineer's corner a few years back. I couldn't resist the shot and I paid for it.
