Title: How2Pow - How To Record PS2/Gamecube/Wii Gameplay with a Hauppauge PVR
Added: Dec 31, 2011
Author: TheStormPow
Duration: 6:18
Description:
This tutorial will show you how to record gameplay from your Playstation 2, Gamecube, Wii, or any other standard definition video gaming console using a Hauppauge HD PVR! Please note that recording with a Hauppauge does not make the video resolution automatically bigger; recording from old consoles with a PVR gives no better results than doing so with a Dazzle. The input resolution of these old consoles is 480p, and therefore rendering in 720p or 1080p would only stretch out the video, causing huge file sizes.

Mar 25, 2012 - Is there a specific type of computer that only these video recordings can accept or what.
TheStormPow Says:
Mar 25, 2012 - What, .M2TS? Vegas Pro 10 opened them just fine for me and I was able to play them back just fine in Windows Media Player. If you're having trouble with it then download the K-Lite Codec Pack.

Apr 6, 2012 - Will HD PVR work with a mac on final cut express?
FruitKck Says:
Apr 8, 2012 - I don't know if you can help me, but I have the Hauppaugge HVR 1950 and running the Wii through it with component cables into Wintv and I'm having lag issues. The curser on the screen moves 2 seconds after I move the Wiimote. I feel the vibration of the controller on time, say when the curser goes over a button or whatever. Any Ideas?
KillerTroopa Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - Nope. The benefits of a hardware based recorder (like the HD PVR) is that it doesn't affect the frame rate.

TheStormPow Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - The PVR should have came with a long set of white cables that look the same on both ends. One end goes on the top of your PVR, and the other end goes on an input section of your HDTV. Then you should be able to view your gameplay on your television screen in realtime.

May 13, 2012 - I´ve done all the steps for my Wii, yet I´m only facing two problems. On my computer the feed is perfect. On the TV the colors are more yellow and brighter. On the Composite channel of my TV i am getting a bit of yellowy static. When i change the television to the normal channel on my cable box, my color, audio are fine. Prob 2, you said U have a VideoInput of YPbPr on the PC and change it to Composite to avoid the Blackscreen. If i change my YPbPr to Composite I get Blacknothingness, why?
