jonnybravo8 Says:
Apr 18, 2012 - Heart rate monitor and gps are very useful training equipment if one wants to improve in running. Camel back are useful for people that don't want to carry a water bottle, bluetooth is not used in running and mp3 players helps avoiding boredom when you run. Do you have a problem with these products?
RyanSRox113 Says:
Apr 19, 2012 - no I see midfoot.1:40 looks midfoot to me.
RyanSRox113 Says:
Apr 19, 2012 - Thanks for the video. I live in the city and I can't get to run through nature like you can. I wish I could do that though. I know I'd enjoy running a lot more.
martinbondesson Says:
Apr 20, 2012 - You can get good if you want to, trust me. The key to improvement in terms of endurance is to go out for long runs. Don't focus on speed, just make sure to get that clock tickin'. Rake in time and you'll find yourself being able to run further and faster with each month. When you have a good stamina I find it easier to practice intervals and speed.
tonycapozzi Says:
Apr 26, 2012 - Yeah, I think you're right.....whew!

Apr 28, 2012 - I'd run with Jesus anyday!
imanuel2012 Says:
Apr 29, 2012 - no, you fuck nut, hes trying to imply that this man doesnt use that shit because his drive comes from something other then monitoring his heart rate and timing his miles. Hes a fuckin animal running through nature, if he runs 100 mile races he can monitor his body very well on his own
jonnybravo8 Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - Very few runners are motivated by their equipment. If thats what you think you are delusional. GPS, heart rate monitor and mp3 is used in training by world class runners. They do not get their drive from these things, they use them as tool to get better.
imanuel2012 Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - you are stating the obvious. That's not the point im arguing, im saying to do what he does is 90% of your own mental drive. Those devices are just small help for fruitcakes who cant handle real shit
jonnybravo8 Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - No the point you are stating is that you are a typical internet asshole. Calling out names behind your little computer. There you go again. Fruitcakes. Do you call the best track athletes in the world fruitcakes? Sureley they are on a level higher than Anton will ever be. Not saying he is a bad athlete, but to call runners who take advantage of the existing technology to run as fast as possible as fruticakes, thats ridiculous.

May 4, 2012 - Thinking about running a super long ultra in 2013 and regular marathons the following year.
lisavorwerk Says:
May 9, 2012 - Running ultra trail runs is a freeing adventure. You can become one with the Earth. Bound along like a deer or peer down below cliffs like an eagle. We teeter on the edge of rocks and climb boulders to ascend mountains. We cross water chest deep at times and we don't mind wet feet or dirty socks. We are what we are.....free! Run free, run trails!.....Arkansas Ultra Runner, Pink Panther aka Lisa Vorwerk
lisavorwerk Says:
May 9, 2012 - Definately outside midfoot to inside motion. Natural for a runner with good form. The angle this is shot makes it difficult to see.
lisavorwerk Says:
May 9, 2012 - You have to pick a distance that you can complete without stopping and then each day go faster even if by one second. One day you will be bored with that course and you will choose another one that is longer. Do the same technique. Play games with yourself to keep you going. Eventually your running will NOT suck. Flat footed people can run. Go to a real running store and get fitted for a shoe and maybe an insole. They can properly advise you. Good luck! Never give up!
lisavorwerk Says:
May 9, 2012 - Hey dude.....we aim to educate those that don't understand ultras. If you just bite everyone's head off who says 100k instead of 100 miles well heck the sport will one day just go away. Your knowledge is spot on but your attitude is a little spotty. Ultra runners are typically very accepting of all levels of athlete and invite all kinds of runners to join them. Stay positive! :-)

May 15, 2012 - this isnt even hard
Mastamuzac1993 Says:
May 16, 2012 - try to do some foot strengthening exercises. Pick up things with your toes. Set a towel on the floor and scrunch it along its whole length with your toes at one end. Do lots of heel raises on stairs. Then go get some minimalist shoes and run a mile a day concentrating on landing on your mid or front foot. Your form should mimic an 'emergency bare footing it to save a kid'. Anton's 1:30 is great! Just do a little at a time! Best of luck!

May 20, 2012 - i could watch krupicka run for hours. dat form! doing my first 100k in 2 weeks. eek.
best496 Says:
May 21, 2012 - How long does it take to recover after running 2 1/2 hours? That's how long I ran yesterday. I'm not a runner and I only exercise about once a month. My knees were destroyed after that run and I nearly died. Though today I only have a little muscle pain and my knees aren't hurting at all. I'm still having heart problems and I think I may have torn a lung because it's harder to breath.
ArroyoBarefootBros Says:
May 26, 2012 - This dude should just go barefoot
woodzy32 Says:
May 27, 2012 - Running & coaching improves running jonnybravo8 not biopsychosocial devices. Bluetooth is used in some headphones, and Mp3 players shouldn't be used if your trying to "improve" your running jonnybravo8. Yeah I have a problem with these products as they make running a fashion commodity which deters most people from enjoying running. Please jonnybravo8 next time you believe your naive little voice must be heard tell your mum she will give you praise, but here your only patronizing and amusing.
jonnybravo8 Says:
May 27, 2012 - If you look at my comment objectively you'll easily see there is no patronizing or asuming, avoid being defensive and trash talk when its not relative. Mp3 players help people who dislike running but do it out of exercise, its silly and naive to think everyone would like an activity, in this case running. If music makes them enjoy it, then good for them. HR monitor and GPS are very useful tools, used by several of the elites in the world. Camel back, what, its bad to hydrate if you run?

LowKey787 Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - As with anything you have to practice to develop talent. You wouldn't expect to be good with calculus if you didn't have much experience with it right? The same goes for running, you just have to get out and do it and eventually through persistence you will be running like a pro in no time.
