Dancinstan1 Says:

May 22, 2012 - Jill Tarter's quote, "The story of humans is the story of ideas that shine light into dark places.", has become one of my favorite quotes, and for this alone I would have made this a favorite, and yet there is so much more to like. Thank you.

deadelitezealot Says:

May 22, 2012 - well actually the best scientist are agnost atheist or just atheist there is no such thing as evil or good there is no human nature what is human nature all of you guys cleary dont know the anwser.religious people are not the problem the only problem is that religion is used in politics and school otherwise its just a lifestyle now its fasiscm every one has the right to believe in god i as atheist some times wish i didnt had reasonbale logic understanding cause sometimes i wanna suicide

deadelitezealot Says:

May 22, 2012 - the problems we have and its solutions are technical not political -Jacque Fresco

deadelitezealot Says:

May 22, 2012 - there is no such thing as good or evil mr homo erectus we are all equel no matter who you are an atheist, agnost, muslim, hindoe, christian it doesnt matter ignorance is sometimes better than being logical cause when you see the world as it really is you wanna suicide you are a lucky guy

deadelitezealot Says:

May 22, 2012 - these songs are one of the things that keep me alive but when i read the comments i get sad not only about religous comments i dont mind as long you dont bring it in school or politics but also the hatred if you really understand the world as it is you get very sad better be ignorant than suicidal

watchinavid Says:

May 22, 2012 - Religion...problem...science...problem...That's externalizing. The problem is viewpoints of humans, the ability to view information with a degree of abstraction yields the more universally true results. Let religion discover answers to questions prominent to those that need those answers, let science do the same for other means. Why fuel a battle between the two? It's all rather ignorant. Irrespective of what information you acquire and believe to be truth.

MasterHypnose Says:

May 22, 2012 - Religion exists to ensure the poor don't murder the rich.

crossvain12 Says:

May 23, 2012 - Ron Paul? Ron Paul supports our constitutional rights, among which is the freedom of religion. And any explanation of how we got here is "from nothing"I know it is the stance of creationists (as I was raised as one) to not question these sorts of things, but where did the god who created you come from? I'm not detesting your religion, because it is your right. But be respectful towards other people, and they will treat you the same.Something to that effect is said in the bible I believe. ;)

PhyOSPhyOS Says:

May 23, 2012 - Tell me about it. These people genuinely sicken me.

Unhollygeneral Says:

May 23, 2012 - are you serious? i cant even begin to name everything that's wrong with what you said. fuck off. please?

Stargateorigins1 Says:

May 24, 2012 - You realize that Ron Paul supports both religion and science right? You are also aware that evolution has been proven, the big bang has quite abit of evidence, many parts of the bible have been proven a lie, and global warming...well its a natural cycle that our planet goes through, we survived it last time and we lived in caves. Also, never...NEVER call someone stupid if you can't even type a decent paragraph. Looks like my 5yo wrote that.

Stargateorigins1 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Sadly...we ran out of room on the islands <_<

thedragonryder Says:

May 24, 2012 - there is only one mystery in any religion. Near everything you need know about it is in whatever they call their bible. The only mystery involved is why they need to exist today, other than to hold back the progress of science and the world as a whole.

coollikethat10101 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Richard Dawkins says he has physics envy. People often call him arrogant because he is so much smarter than the vast majority of us, that listening to him speak makes us feel stupid. I, however, find him humble. He downplays his own knowledge and is honest when he doesn't know something. Dawkins will ALWAYS be my favorite.

brrook2010 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Muslims also say that so one of you will go tp hell anyway

niveksiwel Says:

May 24, 2012 - I dont care if you believe in religion or science...this song rocks!

May 25, 2012 - I see you are a worshiper of the God of Gaps Find it on Wikipedia or Theopedia if you likeHere is Dr. Tyson's short answer, search for:Neil DeGrasse Tyson Destroys Bill O'ReillyIn summary, your approach to defining god is an ever receding pocket of scientific ignorance. Here is the longer response (multiple examples throughout history when people and scientists (e.g Newton) said "Oh! We don't know that, must be god" but were wrong)Search for:Neil deGrasse Tyson: The Perimeter of Ignorance

NightwishLover2012 Says:

May 26, 2012 - THIS. Well, generally, Sagan is a bit easier to understand than him, but those two are the best guys. EVER.

NightwishLover2012 Says:

May 26, 2012 - You can't believe in science. Things without facts 'have' to be believed in. Science has facts, therefore, no need to believe it.

coollikethat10101 Says:

May 26, 2012 - Agreed! Well, Sagan and Dawkins have expertise in two different subjects so if you are more literate in biology than in physics than Dawkins will probably be easier for you to understand and vice versa. Regardless every single person in this video has/had a brilliant mind and I am grateful that we get to witness it! They are all outstanding and inspiring individuals.

coollikethat10101 Says:

May 26, 2012 - Thank you. I can't stand when people call evolution a belief. Is gravity a belief?
