Mar 24, 2012 - UR not Out of Love my dear friend! It's enthralling to think this kind of beauty is STILL actively, like a beneficent virus, infecting young minds with glorious charm & joy. Try reading a magazine devoted to this type of psych/baroque era pop SHINDIG (shindig-magazine) which is DEVOTED to this type of craftwork. I (and they) recommend the new disc by TROLLEY="THINGS THAT SHINE AND GLOW" which has a glorious splendor that seems beamed from 1967 (enjoy "OUT OF LOVE"). Heavenly Peace

Mar 25, 2012 - OMG!!! I have been looking for this song for years! I kept looking for 'Tiny' Ballerina! I was 11 when I first heard this song and I never forgot it! I cannot believe that I have finally found it with the right title just by typing in "60s music ballerina". I love this song and Walk Away Renee which I have on my iPod.

noponat666 Says:

Mar 26, 2012 - Excellent post -- haunting and deep -- always chokes me up (since first heard in 1967)!

Mar 27, 2012 - That will be great! Put me down for one of the first, Ron. There needs to be more beauty in music. Where did it all go?

harmoniabalanza Says:

Mar 29, 2012 - Renee was my voice teacher and director in a women's group for quite a few years. What an experience.

JackSmilin321 Says:

Mar 31, 2012 - A timeless classic. It never gets old.

djtomfinn Says:

Mar 31, 2012 - I feel that the world is finally ready for The Left Banke so George Cameron and I have reformed the group. We're playing live, it's not an oldies act, it's a ten (10) piece ensemble, and we're doing justice to the old songs and we're recording new songs too. Stand by and watch what happens.

rwells47 Says:

Apr 1, 2012 - thanks Tom for keeping us posted! I can't wait to hear what happens when you turn the page on your new adventure! Ron

Apr 5, 2012 - As a 1966 high school graduate, I am glad to find these tunes again on "the Tube". It is good to hear that TLB will reform. I hope some of the new music ends up here.

scarlethelen Says:

Apr 15, 2012 - This song is so beautiful and sad. It makes me cry. It also reminds me of being 8 years old and dancing through the house with our record player on full blast. I never understood it's pain then. Gorgeous song.

jessesmithproduction Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - Perhaps my favorite song of all time. Can anyone point me to a midi file of it?

Apr 25, 2012 - What happened to Michael Brown?

TeekiesPlace Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - @djtomfinn This was a "love at first listen" song for me when it came out. It's one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever written. I'm a Beatles fan, and this song stands toe to toe with their BEST songs. My fiancee (and fellow songwriter) ADORES this song. She is going to sing the vocals on our cover version. If you're curious (and I'd certainly want to hear what somebody did with MY song) I'd be happy to send you our version. Who knows...you might like our original material too =)
