Sep 6, 2011 - I would say an homage rather than a rip. The Verve have been pretty open about their love for the gods of Greek psychedelia. Also the title "The Rolling People" comes from an Aphrodite's Child song called "Altamont" I believe. I bought the 666 album recently and you are right it's a work of genius like nothing I have ever heard. I hope Demis Roussos is getting royalties for it!

Oct 23, 2011 - There's is one big difference. The Verve kicks ass live and Oasis is sloppy. Saw them both in the 90's and there was no comparison.
