I love the layers of "lifeline" meanings:-The path of your life (follow it through)-Rescue when in need (don't throw them away)-Contact with others in your life (don't let them go)-The signs of age and experience - wrinkles! (let them show!)-Perhaps even roots (how do we grow?)The metaphors are handled with enough subtlety to keep from being hackneyed, and what results is a brilliant lyric about the beauty of life and love in all its seasons.

Their songs are so different than our all American songs...especially their slower songs are so different sounding; and I think that's why my society isn't used to this type of music...I love my country...but I have to agree...A-ha will always be top notch #1 in my book!
