May 28, 2012 - not too get too involved but in all honesty they all serve a purpose and its a military not the army over all the army is a branch in its self the navy has battleships which provide artillery fire the air force is intelligence the army has the largest air unit out of the military and the marines are actually the ground forces that are usually the ones that go in first and not all statistics are correct there are more people in the army than marines numbers are just numbers.
