Feb 8, 2012 - 0:19 - 0:25 ..... when he says " I can feel death, can see its beady eyes, all these things into position..." you know that's true....He says that it hurts , hurts when he play this song.. it's like stare the fucking devil..this song have a big emotional content.....is amazing how Thom can express all this feelings just in this song... that's make this band a big band

Feb 9, 2012 - Immerse Your Soul In Love.. the ending says it all. It doesn't matter how dark and bleak this song seems, the song ends on a positive note and I feel uplifted by the end. This song is a journey through despair and pain only to arrive at beauty and hope. Thank you Radiohead for creating this masterpiece.

Feb 10, 2012 - Street Spirit is our purest song, but I didn't write it. It wrote itself. We were just its messengers its biological catalysts. Its core is a complete mystery to me, and, you know, I wouldnt ever try to write something that hopeless. All of our saddest songs have somewhere in them at least a glimmer of resolve. Street Spirit has no resolve. It is the dark tunnel without the light at the end. It represents all tragic emotion that is so hurtful that the sound of that melody is its only definition.

Feb 14, 2012 - I don't think in his description Yorke means the Devil in the Religious sense. I just feel like Thom spends a lot of time studying human nature and probably noticed long ago how predatory personalities tend to succeed and over time will become the bulk of the population, and fuck the world up. I mean that could just be me reading my views into things but it's hard for me to see any other real insightful reason to be as hopeless as Street Spirit is. Anyone elses ideas on this are very welcome.

Apr 2, 2012 - actually that's not it... it's the only song they made without any hope at all... no light in the dark... Thom Yorke said

Apr 4, 2012 - actually I think exit music is their most hopeless/depressing song... Street Spirit has the "immerse your soul in love" part at the end which makes it quite optimistic

Apr 30, 2012 - +1 you got itAll of our saddest songs have somewhere in them at least a glimmer of resolve... "'Street Spirit' has no resolve... It is the dark tunnel without the light at the end. It represents all tragic emotion that is so hurtful that the sound of that melody is its only definition. We all have a way of dealing with that song... It's called detachment... Especially me.. I detach my emotional radar from that song, or I couldn't play it... I'd crack. I'd break down on stage.."- Thom Yorke
