LYRICSHold me close and hold me fastThe magic spell you castThis is la vie en roseWhen you kiss me heaven sighsAnd tho I close my eyesI see la vie en roseWhen you press me to your heartI'm in a world apartA world where roses bloomAnd when you speak...angels sing from aboveEveryday words seem...to turn into love songsGive your heart and soul to meAnd life will always beLa vie en rose

Badgerinthenight Says:

May 20, 2012 - Eh.,. I can't agree.. I think his nasty voice has butchered this elegant classic... once again the Americans have taken something beautiful and cultured and watered it down for themselves and their own culture.

lorcorpskyline Says:

May 20, 2012 - isnt that the point of someone else singing another persons song..?..to make it their own rather than hearing the same old song...?

Spankey9115 Says:

May 21, 2012 - Really, man? You had to play the whole "Americans Suck" card? I am curious to know how amazing you think you are because of that comment. And anyways, what are you talking about? Louis Armstrong's voice is not "nasty". If you don't like it, then stop listening to it. Unless you listen to it just to say your point about how you hate America. Just get the fuck out of here, dipshit.

Roostergobam Says:

May 21, 2012 - Into their culture? You never hear the US being called the 'Melting Pot of the world'? America is widely diverse and so you can't simply place it into one culture, unlike several other countires, where you get the same crap, America holds a wider selection from various cultures. Sure, some may be more popular than others but all the same. You don't like the song, you don't type in the name of the song and and or singer and CHOOSE to listen to it, wonderful thing about freedom, you get options.

PTphoenixUK Says:

May 22, 2012 - Well I love L.A.'s voice but compared to other performances of his I have to say he wasnt on his best days on this one. Could have done much better.

maskednil Says:

May 22, 2012 - French Kiss!

DeathFirere Says:

May 22, 2012 - I still think Canada is more diverse, as we are not a melting pot. We don't assimilate as much.

bloodnivel70 Says:

May 22, 2012 - fuck you wall e :D

steampunkineer Says:

May 23, 2012 - that's what makes this country suck it should be pro Americanism not middle east, Europe Asia and Spanish bullshit!!!!

ItzEvident Says:

May 23, 2012 - America was founded by immigrants, your view of "Americanism" is invalid. More or less undefined. You are a nativist and you don't even know it, just like the nativist in the 1890s , did not welcome Italians, Irish, Russian or any Europeans in the country, now those immigrants great grand children are me and you (safely assuming you are from European descendants) , the demographics in America has changed then and it is changing now, the immigrants of today will be the Americans of the future.

Awesome4rbiter Says:

May 24, 2012 - you do realize the essence of music is to not be of limits by boundaries. Chords can be changed to make a different effect to the piece, as well as the singer. Please do take note of how this is a Jazz piece; a form of Music that is not so widely seen now, but still is studied and played in both middle and Highschools throughout the US, the place Jazz originated. If there is but one thing I've learned about Jazz in my time, its that its basis is to be changed. So, you are wrong to blame Satch.
