Nov 25, 2010 - anyone that thinks that nikon gear is crappy has never used it or cant afford it.

michonn2 Says:

Dec 1, 2010 - im going to do the same moving from canon to nikon definitely!

FinlandApollo Says:

Dec 18, 2010 - why do you think that?

FinlandApollo Says:

Dec 18, 2010 - I doesn't matter do you use canon or nikon, if you are shitty photographer, you won't get better pictures with Canon....

baguiopunx Says:

Dec 21, 2010 - Is there a rule that you can't use a teleconverter on a full-frame camera? The use of that 1.7 teleconverter is to add additional magnification of the glass plus with the use of the great resolution of the full-frame sensor rather than a sensor cropped image.

baguiopunx Says:

Dec 21, 2010 - "Photographers" commenting here something like "why use a full-frame when you're using a teleconverter?" doesn't know what they are saying. Shame, a lot of "photographers" knows little but talks too much.Anyway, great video! I like this photographer (Frazer H.)! And Getty Images (as a client) is no joke. They demand high-quality photos for their market. That's why a full-frame sensor is an advantage (even better if you have a medium format).

Jan 14, 2011 - you're an idiot

neverhood311 Says:

Apr 9, 2011 - The video makes it sound as though Nikon had some sort of corner on the full-frame market.

Jun 20, 2011 - england is the cradle of football but they suck at it :) so your point is not valid :p one day am dreaming of getting like his camera... now i have a d90

Jun 21, 2011 - oh yawn yawn... all that silly little discussion about Nikon vs. Canon. Thing is, both are VERY good. Period.

lakersteve Says:

Jun 24, 2011 - I saved enough to quit my full time job and get into full time photography. I've been at it part-time, doing fashion shows, red carpets and weddings. Now, I'm ready to purchase new NIKON equip. I love the tips you give Mr. Harrison. Thanks so much!

nytovaok516 Says:

Jul 15, 2011 - scared to take out the 14-24? give it to me :P

nytovaok516 Says:

Jul 15, 2011 - u realize full-frame is film sized, right? and u DO realize that nikon has been making cameras longer than canon, right? so because canon made a full frame digital before nikon that makes theirs better? not quite a very sound argument. FX/full frame isn't a feature, it's a format. autofocus and matrix metering and processors and AF speed are features. get ur vocab straight

MadmanDKDK Says:

Aug 27, 2011 - And ? So what if he feels a need to use a 1.7 TC? He actually states the reason, Canon 1Ds aren't full frames, which makes them a but out of place, however Nikon are full frame, so in occasion you would need a 1.7x TC for the 70-200 if you want the reach of the 70-200 on a Canon 1D3 for that matter.Come on dude, it's simple logic.

whitepowderbob Says:

Nov 4, 2011 - Nikon? Please, spare me.

drouleau Says:

Apr 14, 2012 - Regarding the SB900 thermal shutdown, use NON-rechargeable batteries in the flash itself....the 1.2V of the rechargeables vs. the 1.5V non-rechargeables does make a difference, and always use an SD-9 battery pack (rechargeables are fine for that). The 4 batteries in the flash power the computer, the 8 batteries in the SD-9 provide juice for the output and recycle time is much faster. This alleviates most overheating issues unless you do something dumb like 30-40 full power shots in a row.

Apr 21, 2012 - yey Nikon:)

Apr 23, 2012 - Great video Frazer. It's always nice to see what staffers can get their hands on :).Can I ask how you got into working for Getty and do you have one bit of advice that you always suggest to aspiring toggers? Finally, ignore the "Internet keyboard warrior". Their spelling and language is indicative of their IQ!!!Andy

aiwayamaha Says:

May 14, 2012 - But you can shoot DX mode so a teleconverter doesn't matter that much

BrandonKingVloggin Says:

May 16, 2012 - It can still get closer to the action so it is still helpful :)

aiwayamaha Says:

May 16, 2012 - But then he could be talking about not wanting to use DX because of the image quality. FX is the highest MP so a teleconverter wouldn't effect the FX MP

BrandonKingVloggin Says:

May 16, 2012 - That's true too. Well at least we understand that. Hopefully other viewers do as well
