Added: Dec 29, 2008
Author: Moltisanti
Duration: 4:51
Description:
I bought some Alnico II Pro pickups ( I got a good deal) and put the neck one in my Edwards Les Paul to try it out. These are the pickups Slash uses, hence all the GnR licks.I can't decide if they sound like Slash or not...Oh before I get responses saying, "To sound like Slash you need..." the objective wasn't to nail his tone, just me goofing around :D. I know i don't have:A Marshall JCM800 Slash sigmature ampA "Real" Les PaulA Top HatImmense talentMillions in the bank from record sales... etc etc

Oct 31, 2011 - I've got the bridge version of the Alnico II Pro and a SD Full Shred in the neck of my Epi LP Standard but wanted something to match the tone quality of the bridge. So, I ordered this neck version before watching this vid and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It's close enough to the tone I want to be able to tune in the controls on my Laney Lionheart so seems I did the right thing. Cheers dude.

May 11, 2012 - Jim Marshall's first amp, the JTM 45, was a copy of the Fender bassman... just sayin'...
OnfloorAudio Says:
May 12, 2012 - Yes , but not a direct copy , the 5F6A circuit from Fender was modified heavily as well ....
