Duration: 9:35

Description:
Get the Audio for your iPod or a CD, http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/QuietMindCafe . This guided meditation is from http://www.quietmindcafe.com and is one part of a three-part relaxation and stress management system. Use this sympathetic breathing guided meditation for profound relaxation and stress relief. This breathing technique calms and balances the autonomic nervous system, which is your fight or flight response. This breathing technique will boost your immune system and suppress cortisol which is a hormone responsible for rapid aging. For a complete relaxation practice use Simple Relaxation to relax the muscles of the body and the somatic nervous system. Use Quiet Mind to restore the experience of calm and balance to the mind and central nervous system. Finally, use Sympathetic Breathing to restore profound relaxation to the heart and autonomic nervous system -- your fight or flight response. Together these three practices form a profound relaxation system that is essential for any stress management or stress relief practice.

Jan 23, 2012 - If you never cry then perhaps there are more feelings than you know just below the surface. This type of meditation can let your guard down so these feelings rise to the surface.

Mar 24, 2012 - I really enjoyed this video. I have a question towards the end of the breathing exercise I had a sense of spinning around as ifI was in one of those seats that spins but I wasn't dizzy nor was it like vertigo. It was pleasant. Is it normal to feel that way? How. Often can I do this exercise, I felt really relaxed.

Apr 4, 2012 - Why is my head full of thoughts .cant really concentrate on breathing ..i phase out alot, how long till it receeds ?:)

Apr 5, 2012 - To QuiteMindCafe, I had to stop this video two minutes in to say I think it's a mistake to talk about stress and how the sympathetic nervous system works in a guided meditation since for many people, like myself, that in itself can cause a stress response. After I finish listening I may buy the audio but I'll probably just edit that part out myself since I'm already an expert on chronic stress, lol.

janice1923 Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - It took me awhile to learn to empty head & not let outside noises effect me. A very wise person told me that I should acknowledge the thought or noise & then let it go. Then return to concentrating on your breathing. You do this as many times as needed until one day you can go a whole minute with an empty mind, then you find yourself being able to go for five minutes and you keep building to your goal. The Tao of Natural Breathing is a good read.Don't give up trying!!Peace.Love.Understanding.

bugatti103 Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Thanks so much for this it will help many people with anxiety and stress.
