Sep 27, 2009 - Gwangi is my favorite of the Harryhausen films and this tribute to Ray's work and accomplishments is very well done. Ray's work inspired generations of stop motion animators all over the world while he was entertaining millions.

Sep 28, 2009 - Some of his best animation is in Gwangi too, I'd say. And I definately agree that he's inspired and entertained millions, as is evident in my own family. I've found Gwangi to be very unsung compared to the rest of Ray's work, I didn't see it until I decided to go looking for it, if you get what I mean, and even then the only copy I could get was on a compilation DVD

Feb 14, 2010 - I love this film, it's definately my favourite Harryhausen film. What really pisses me off is that we did the evolution of the horse at school and they completely forgot the Eohippus...makes me want to sit them down and force them to watch this masterpeice :)

STP43FAN1 Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - The best part of the roping sequence is when the Styracosaur leaves the cave, positions to battle Gwangi, and it's as though Gwangi, tired of fighting the cowboys, finally bites off the ropes and goes after the Styracosaur.
