Apr 16, 2012 - No disrespect, but that was far from a perfect run. Yes he did some risky maneuvers, but his cornering speed in the fast bends was quite poor at some occasions. He also braked very early before some of the slow 180 bends. Maybe this was a result of the mixed gravel/asphalt tires which always forces you to compromize. This in turn didn´t help him hit the apex of every corner as he turned in to early resulting in oversteer. Even staying on the racing line seemed hard. But still...sub-10 min drive!

I will give you an example why Tajima went with caution all the way:Ever been in a GT racing circuit? Seems to have much space right?Well, have you been in a Rally circuit? Seems pretty small right?In the "movies", they both seem the same.Pikes peak road is a normal traffic road so you can imagine how small it is. When I go there, I get scared... Now imagine Tajima at 120mph.

May 19, 2012 - The speed limit is 25 mph on average and as low as 10 mph. The Pike's Peak Highway is 19.5 miles long but I think the actual race is only 12.42 miles. So roughly 35-40 minutes.

May 19, 2012 - That car shouldn't have been running past Devils Playground. It had to be brought down on a flat bed due to both turbos blown and the head gasket blown. And almost no brake pressure towards the top. Sub 10 in those conditions is a perfect run.
