Jun 25, 2011 - Cheers from Sydney! I agree! You get the sense from US pop culture that there is a "Fighting Class". Young people involved in crime who basically get the choice between prison and the military. In Australia, The people I've known who went into the Air Force and Navy were brilliant at school, fit, square jawed clear eyed Aussies. Middle class and well educated men and women. I heard of the son of someone I work with who had a Graffiti charge and wanted to join the Army. Didn't have a chance.

Apr 8, 2012 - I don't mean to imply anything about those I don't know,but it IS a fact(like the redhead airman female at 56:00) that many of the women get favorable treatment and relaxed discipline which tends to give them the impression that they are special or above others,based on their gender.Her hair is out of regs,she is chewing gum.I just get the impression that merely because she is an attractive female,she most likely gets treated more like a civilian than a military member.This sets a bad precedent.

Apr 8, 2012 - I stand corrected.She is an officer,even worse.She should be setting a better example,but like so many female officers,they give the impression that regulations and proper military standards and conduct do not apply to them.Many male officers fraternize on a daily basis with them.I have personally witnessed this on several ships.
