Apr 22, 2011 - Ive read McCourt's books. He did have an awful childhood no doubt, but there are worse. I sponsor a child from Africa and we exchange letters. In some Countries in Africa they are so poor the people eat dirt because they are so hungry.

Jun 18, 2011 - Angela's Ashes is one of my many favorite books; and one of my favorite audio books as well. If you love the book but never tried listening to the audio version of it, I highly recommend it. It's narrated by the author and it's so refreshing to hear it with his native brogue and his abilities of retelling of his stories.

Oct 9, 2011 - You're very welcome. Try your local library if you don't want to purchase it. If they don't carry it, ask for an Inter Library Loan to borrow it from another library. :-)
