Aug 5, 2011 - i understand your point of view, and your message to the kids is actually quite reasonable. i just think the vitriol in so many comments here are way out of proportion to this little video. look at all these enflamed responses at some kids' history homework. they're like a comically enraged reaction to a prank call- the more angry, obscene, and out of control they are, the more power they give to the original prank. these kids have almost 200,000 views!

Aug 15, 2011 - For my 9th grade homework, I researched my facts and produced valid material about subjects that I was interested in. The information would still stand against current knowledge. So just what is this teaching the kids? Tragedy is funny? How to inflame the public and incite reaction? Preparing them for a career in tabloid publishing, where reaction trumps truth? Or should they not be taught how to properly put together a documentary? Death is final, NOT funny.

Aug 15, 2011 - Glad you got an A ; but in History class you really should not have been rewarded for completely fabricating history, Yes, an A in Fictional Literature or Media class would be appropriate. You have infringed copyrights and crossed moral boundaries by making this available to the public. I hope you are learning the proper way to do films. You could create a good career doing something you enjoy. I suggest that you reset this to friends only. Rethink, redo, republish. Peace.

Aug 16, 2011 - glad to hear you took your education seriously. i wish more kids would. your achievements notwithstanding, however, there have always been teenagers who experimented with boundaries of good taste. you may have even been aware or some who, occasionally, showed signs of laziness and lack of academic discipline. i never said these kids deserved an a+. but i'm more disappointed in the adults who are yes, rewarding incitement by sinking to this meathead level of discourse.

Oct 10, 2011 - we used to make stupid ass videos when we were kids, too. the shit was fun. but history class? we had to write papers like everybody else. I can't believe the crap the American school system calls education today. I seriously feel sorry for you guys. Oct 28, 2011 - the man who was killed pulled out a gun because he was upset he couldnt go on stage. and one of the hells angels saw him with the gun and took action and knifed him down. the man who had the gun and was killed was not even close to the stage but already had his gun out .. weather or not the black man was actually going to kill someone.. who cares he pulled out a gun at a rock show and scared everyone ruined the concert and deserved to die..

After I got over being terrified by the on-line posturing & chest-thumping, & after I finally located my lost crack-pipe, I asked myself "Why all the venom & accusations that this documentary was poorly researched?" If the facts aren't accurate (Now I've confused myself.), straighten it out. Or is it that the use of clay figures & stop-action is throwing you off? (Hint: they're not real.)
