May 14, 2012 - That is so degrading to all artists. First off, the Gorillaz wouldn't even be a fraction as good without the visual effects from Jamie. Secondly, Jamie and Damon are good friends, and have been for years, so for Damon to completely scrap everything Jamie's done/will do because they don't see totally eye-to-eye, would be a ridiculously pig-headed thing for him to do. Jamie is just as big a part as Damon when it comes to the Gorillaz, and neither are "more important" than the other.

May 15, 2012 - I didn't say jamie didn't do a fantstic job but gorillaz are a band and to say they wouldn't be a fraction as good without artwork is really saying alot about your view of their music.Image and art is obviously important but it is not more important than the music. Damon could make another gorillaz album without jamie and the main difference would be that they would be a live action band. While the artwork jamie did would be missed i would be happy to sacrifice it so the music could continue.

May 16, 2012 - True, but that defeats the entire purpose of the band. Jamie and Damon both agreed that the reason Gorillaz existed was to bend the typical image of music. They were tired of seeing one fake celebrity after another, so they agreed on a virtual band. Basically, they were trying to prove a point. Gorillaz along with Blur, TGTB&TQ, Dr. Dee, and anything else Damon touches musically, I am completely obsessed with XD But Gorillaz is different because of the message they send C:

You have to remember that most people that like Gorillaz like it for both the music and the artwork. Scraping that idea of having them as a virtual band would be big slap to the face to these fans.
