Mar 21, 2012 - You should do some research on an area called the Pacific Gyre. It's an area in the Pacific ocean where currents converge bringing with them all of the plastic waste that doesn't biodegrade. It is estimated to be about the size of the state of Texas and the plastic waste occupies the top 10 meters of the water column. Maybe not "all" but I think you'd agree it's a lot.....perhaps consider a drive across Texas to get some perspective.

Mar 22, 2012 - Recycling still means that it will reburn the plastic to make it plastic again, hence it will create pollution again. If you don't drink bottled water at all, you wouldn't have this problem.

Apr 15, 2012 - there are lots of really important points in this video, but the whole thing is mixing together several issues: the non-renewability of petrochemical resources, contamination of goods for human consumption, contamination of the environment, culpability of commercial businesses and government in controlling quality. Some of these are quite separate issues that all just happen to apply to bottled water. They also apply to Cola, milk and all drinks provided in plastic. Water is not unique in this.
IronicAtlas Says:
Apr 19, 2012 - you can filter it . use ACF type filter to remove chroline. google betterwaters for a site that sells lot's of filters.

May 4, 2012 - Looks to me like they're talking about plastic bottles most of the time. So what about Water from a glass bottle? What about so called premium waters? and yes i can taste the difference too. I just don't like the taste of tabbed water. There are waters that taste great and some who don't. I don't like the taste of volvic for example.
CommandoFaheem12 Says:
May 4, 2012 - People who made nestlé is taking to much water from our earth. 35 state in America have drought rivers and lakes. People all around the world because of emotion, gas,and oxygen. People don't know what to do.
surfingthechaos Says:
May 10, 2012 - Yeah, with all this talk about the drawbacks of plastic, I don't understand why no one ever puts any serious thought into the obvious solution of just putting the fucking water into aluminum cans like they do with soda. Let the consumer decide what they want to drink their water out of.
James Clarke Says:
May 25, 2012 - Or right out of the tap with Ariix's stainless still water bottle with a replacacle filter that filters out 50 gallons of water before you have to replace it. More cost effective than bottled water.
GloVermont2 Says:
May 25, 2012 - This is why I sacrificed urban life for the country life in the hills of Vermont. I and my farm residents drink pure gravity fed spring water.
GloVermont2 Says:
May 25, 2012 - If you examine the inside of most aluminum cans in the USA, like soda cans, and ALSO like tomato cans, fruit cans, juice cans, etc...you will discover that npowadays most all of these vessels are lined with a very thin coat of plastic. Some cans you can see the plastic liner easily because it's pure white in color. Beverage cans usually use a clear plastic coating. ALL contain BisPhenolA or BPA.
GloVermont2 Says:
May 25, 2012 - GLASS is safe. That's why I only buy soda's in glass bottles.
surfingthechaos Says:
May 25, 2012 - It's still a lot less plastic and a hell of a lot more environmentally friendly than a plastic bottle.
GloVermont2 Says:
May 26, 2012 - Look up BPA
ATH139 Says:
May 27, 2012 - While I'm aware of the point that you're trying to get across; I believe you're misunderstanding the reasoning for this video to mention all these issues that are somehow directly related to water bottles and their production. Water bottle production may not be entirely at fault for each of the issues addressed, but it does have an influence over the continuation of each issue. The video is merely trying to expose all the problems that water bottle corporations are allowing to develop further.

JRskatr Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - So basically, when we recycle our water bottles, they are all gathered up and thrown straight into the lakes and oceans? I thought recycling happened differently... I still agree with the premise of this documentary but I'm just saying.. I don't think all bottles are thrown into oceans and lakes which is what this trailer is making it seem like.
