Apr 13, 2012 - xr weighs over 100 pounds more, makes less power, you have to be atletat 6 foot to ride it, it is in no way a motorcross bike adapted for the street. it has its dualsport purpose, and i love mine. but the guy riging the xrL in this video is a motorcross champ and can manhandle the hell out of that heavy beast. factory xrL sucks, you have to do carb mods to open it up and really run. tops out about 90 with factory gearing.

Apr 21, 2012 - Look at my other videos, Goler and Lippincott to see what my buddies and I do with our XR650L's. They make great long range dual sport machines, they are very dirt worthy. Mine is over 350 ponds with 6 gallons of fuel, tools, gps, etc. not to mention when loaded for travel even more weight. Still it works remarkably well off road with the exception of deep sand, there it sucks! I still get a kick out of watching Ivan toss the big L around the track, what a hoot!
