BTW I once saw a guy (in a car) driving and his cell and wallet was on the roof, its wasn't my job to tell him, but it was the courteous thing to do. You should try being courteous some time.

Sitting behind the wheel of a truck you can't see anything below your hood for up to 10-15' in front of you, depending on the truck. However I do think the driver should have seen it before he hit it, but maybe he did and thought it was empty. One rule of trucking is you never swerve that's how you loose control. I would like to hear from the driver instead of from people do don't know anything about trucks.
