I'll admit I'm speaking from a position of ignorance because I've never used a MAC but then I can't afford to splash out that much money on something I've never used and I won't be able to upgrade. I've lost track of the amount of times I've scraped together spare/second hand parts and built PCs from them, something I don't think is possible with a mac. The people I've personally known who have macs have all been rich and are not IT literate.
