May 27, 2012 - I'm sorry Knopfler is one of the best. He is complete to a degree others aren't. I do feel he is better than Clapton in some ways. I also believe Clapton was a little bit intimidated by him in this video. I love both guitarists just more impressed with Mark overall. Just an opinion.

May 25, 2012 - Oh I agree. I remember Alex Skolnick wrote an article once about rhythm guitar virtuoso; specfically mentioning James Hetfield. Kirk gets a lot of press for being this 'great lead guitarist'...but I think James Hetfield is the more complete guitarist.
